Bike Rental Central Park set us up with the BEST pedicab operator, Ruslan. The pedicab is electric assisted and seats up to three people. The wonderful breezy ride through the park would have been enough, but Ruslan clearly loves the park and offered terrific commentary as well. Now that we’ve had this overview we look forward to returning to rent bikes.
VERY disappointing experience. - pre-booked / paid online but the price is actually the same for walk-ins - the line for collection is the same for pre-booked and walk-ins so you're going to wait anyway - the bike condition is terrible, tyres had absolutely no grip (see pic). To be fair, the brakes were maintained but there's no excuse for sending someone out on a bike with bald tyres. - we were RUSHED out of the reception area into the road giving us only a couple of minutes to orientate ourselves and instruct our kids - locks are pointless. Heavy, old and not worth the hassle - don't bother I suggest using one of the many bike rentals on the roads directly alongside the park (5th Ave) as it makes collection / drop-off much easier and their bikes looked like they were in much better condition.
I had such a great experience renting two bikes here! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly — special thanks to Eduard for his great attitude and humor, which made the process even more enjoyable. The prices are excellent, and the bikes were in great condition. Me and my best friend had an amazing ride through Central Park and couldn’t have asked for a smoother, faster, and more reliable service. By the way - it is located just steps from the park, this place is super convenient — highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York!
Great bike rental-excellent value for money compared to all other options.
ATTENTION: If you walk in without a reservation, inquire about the online price. While reserving online is more affordable, if you walk in and don’t mention that you’ll pay more, just be aware. If they refuse, just simply book online and you will pay less. Also, be aware that they charge extra for a basket and lock if you need them. In my opinion, the bike wasn’t very comfortable, and there was no bell to alert people, which is quite important in New York City. They also close very early, at 6 pm. So, plan ahead before renting it. I hope this review helps whoever reads it.
The 2 hour bike tour through Central Park was amazing! Such a great value! Our guide, Philipe, was funny and informative. He did a great combination of riding and stopping to see interesting areas, like the Reservoir, Bethesda Terrace, the Mall, Cherry Hill, and Strawberry Fields. Bikes were Trek Verves, which are comfortable and dependable. They would benefit, however, from filling the tires to pressure and adjusting brakes before sending them out.
Really great experience. We arrived late for our booking and the company still honored our voucher which was so decent.
Bikes were clearly well used but worked just fine. Lines moved quicker than I thought they would.
All day rent provides sufficient time to drive all the way along the Hudson river.
We had the best time biking round Central Park! Loved every minute of it. We only booked the bikes for 2 hours but that was plenty enough time to bike round and stop for some picture opportunities.
